USB Power Bank from 18650 Cell

A TP4056 charging module safely charges and protects a reused 18650 cell — the foundation of any hand-built power bank, using real parts, not a pre-assembled kit.

How to Build It

  1. Insert the 18650 cell into the dedicated holder.
  2. Connect the holder's terminals to the TP4056 module, respecting polarity (B+ / B-).
  3. Connect the TP4056 module's microUSB port to a USB charger, to charge the cell.
  4. Connect the module's output (OUT+ / OUT-) to a test LED device, to verify power delivery.
  5. Check the module's indicator LEDs: red while charging, blue/green when fully charged.
